Well do lesbians will get HIV/AIDS?

cn lesbians actually have HIV or AIDS... cos as far as i heard from my ex gf she say lesbians dont get HIV.. but a fren of mine say yes...so which is true?

i mean in the way of having sex...

Anybody can get HIV/AIDS.

Please tell me that you're so young you haven't even started going to health class yet because that's the only way I wouldn't consider you an idiot. EVERYONE can get AIDS/HIV... it's not a gay thing or a straight thing or a drug thing... ALL HUMANS CAN CONTRACT THIS VIRUS. To think you're safe from it because you didn't think you could get it is complete ignorance that will cost you your life.

When you're exchanging bodily fluids, it's possible to get HIV/AIDS. If infected bodily fluid comes into contact with an open wound, or is ingested, then you can contract it.

Anyone can get it, Lesbians are less likely to, is all.

Anyone can get HIV if they have sex with someone whose infected.

Lesbian sex is not seen as a common HIV vector. It is possible for them to catch HIV but their usual sexual activities make it unlikely.

lesbians are in the lowest risk group.

UR EX GF IS CORRECT

you got AIDS!

OUCH, invest in a dictionary and actually use it please.

Anyway...as far as lesbians and HIV/AIDS transmission, yes, it's true that lesbians are the lowest risk group by and large. But, it's also true that ANYONE can contract HIV/AIDS either through exchange of bodily fluids or intravienous drug use. (Again bodily fluid exchange)

If a lesbian has sex with a bi sexual female who's had sex with an infected man or an infected female...the lesbian can infact contract the virus. If a lesbian shares an intraveinous needle with an infected person, she can conrtract the virus.

It's just that lesbians who only ever have sexual relations with other lesbians who have only ever had sexual relations with other lesbians...and so on...are at the least risk of contracting the virus.

HIV/AIDS does not discriminate between male or female, homosexual or heterosexual. It lives in the blood and blood carrying bodily fluids such as sexual fluids. It rarely is carried in the saliva unless there is a reason blood has mixed with saliva. You cannot get HIV/AIDS through cassual contact such as closed mouth kissing, hand shaking, hugging or simply breathing the same air as an infected person.
The HIV virus can only live outside the body for a short time. So toilet seats, door handles and other publicly used items are unlikely to be transmission sites.

Anyone, including lesbians can get HIV/AIDS. For lesbians its highly unlikely though, as bodily fluids rarely come into contact through easily accessible sources, IE vagina and anus. If one or both partners has an under-active immune system or open cuts/sores, the likelihood of transmission from one partner to another is greatly increased. This is not only HIV/AIDS but all STIs as well.

possible, but less likely..

Lesbians and anyone else can get HIV/Aids. Lesbian sexual activity is less risky than classic male homosexual activity but its not entirely safe and then, of course, there are the non sex related ways of contracting the virus (IV drug abuse, blood to blood etc).
