Do I have to be worried about HIV/AIDS? |
hi, this question is about hiv/aids. The other day at school I scraped my finger a little on a desk. It wasn't a serious cut, but it did bleed for a while. At the end of the class I washed it out, and it wasn't bleeding anymore really. But then for the rest of the day I was walking around my OVER-CROWDED high school with it. And now I'm afraid that I might have gotten hiv somehow with it being out like that with nothing protecting it. Like since there's so many people I probably touched and stuff. Please tell me if I should be this worried? You're Fine ! :) no don't be worried. You need direct fluid exchange to contract the virus. so for that type of cut you would have to hold your open wound up to an infected person's open wound HIV is a blood virus.. Not a 'germ'. I wouldn't worry. With AIDS/HIV you need to exchange bodily fluids...ususally semen or blood. I highly doubt you came into contact with semen or blood in your school day. Don't worry. As soon as it stopped bleeding you were safe. And brushing up against someone is not a way to be infected. no.. just a note to add.....the hiv virus does not survive out side of its host for very long so no worries from the desk either. Obviously you are OVER-UNENLIGHTENED about Hiv/AIDS.Your chances of getting hiv through this way is non existent. Please visit www.thebody.com and read about safe sex and hiv prevention section...you either already had or will soon start to have sexual experiences therefore get informed immediately... |
