How does it feel to have HIV/AIDS?

Hello.I've had HIV for 6 yrs.I had a boyfrind for 6 months that I really loved.Because I was addicted to drugs and alcohol then I didn't have the sense to use protection.For some reason I thought nothing of him being HIV.He was completely healthy to me.When we broke up and I got off the party train I gave my head a shake so I went to the doctor and got tested.Results positive.When I told him he said "oh well".Turns out he cheated and slept with everyone in the Toronto gay community.Then he told everyone in the community that while we were a couple I was a prostitue and gave him AIDS.I showed him a clean bill of health from my doctor when we 1st got together.I should have demanded the same.So now I have to get blood work done every 3 months and pray my blood counts stay good so I don't have to go on the toxic medication.I suffer terrible depression and panic attacks which I am on meds for.I am in therapy.I lost my job and now live on disability.I'm only 38 for Gods sake.I t has turned my life upside down and I struggle every day.Wow I feel like I just told you my life story.Oh well it helps to chat about it.

i dont but i bet it sucks after having it so long or even having it all knowing your going to die more sooner then later

I do. Im an otherwise healthy heterosexual male that has been positive since 1993. Ive had four different long term relationships with non positive females. After all this time you wouldnt be able to look at me and see any indication of hiv/aids. Actually Im the exact opposite im 35 and look like 25. I work construction and can keep up w/ the best of em. Its crazy i didnt turn into a health nut after i found out either i still did all the things that shouldnt be done drinking/smoking/partying/working to hard ect.... I see a doctor about every six months or so and he says its a managable disease kind of like diabetes if you take your medication every day (which i didnt have to start taking till 3 years ago) you can remain healthy. Since I started medication the active virus is udetectable in my bloodstream, and my immune system is still running strong. I havent even had as much as a cold in years. Im shootin for at least another 10 years or so.
