*What is HIV/ AIDS?
*How does it effect you?
*How is it different from other diceases?

HIV is a disease that is contracted sexually, through breast milk, or through intravenous drug use. You can not get rid of it. It is not curable. It affects the way you body is able to fight off other illnesses. For instance if you have HIV, you are in more danger from some one who has a cold or the flu, then the person who has the cold or flu from you. You get sickness easier and they affect you more strongly then a person with a normal amune system. Some of the first signs of having contracted the illness feels like flu symptoms. If you are having unprotected sex (without a condom) or using needles you need to be tested. If you find out you have the disease, follow your doctors orders and take the Meds. you can live a long productive and happy life. I have it, my husband has it, and our baby doesn't, which is a long complicated discussion in it self. HIV does affect our lives though, don't get it twisted. There are drug side affects, the social stigmatizm, and staying healthy enough to keep a job for instance. Just use a condom, and if you use needles, clean them with bleach and water. And don't share your needles.

simple!!!!!!!!!!!

what is HIV/AIDS? it is a virus that is passed thru body fluids. when simply infected you have HIV, when full blown (decreased T-cells) it is AIDS

who does it effect you? well in the end it kills ya. in the meantime it erodes your immune system, can cause cancer (Karposis sarcoma) along with a host of other things, those are the highlights.

different that other disease? in that it kills your immune system, and there is no cure.....only controll of symptoms (boosting t-cells etc) thru medications. but again no cure.......and it will be years before there is a cure. in the end with aids, death is your ultimate end.

WOULD THINK IT CAN BE TRANSMITTED THROUGH SEXUAL INTERCOURSE AND BLOOD CONTACT
