Every individual who does not take responsibility for themselves and all those other individuals who lack the knowledge of this incurable virus.

A virus is causing this... it is being spread by people who are having unprotected sex and/or sharing needles. Some populations are at higher risk than others depending on who they have sex with according to the statistics. Gay men and IV drug users statistically have the highest prevalence of HIV according to the CDC, but it is growing the fastest among straight people. It is virtually impossible to transmit via blood transfusion anymore.

Since the disease started with gay men mostly (in america), the people who one might argue are at fault are those who ignored the signs (doctors and researchers who ignored the disease since it was so closely associated with gay men). On the other hand, someone like Elizabeth Taylor had an enormous influence in terms of stopping the epidemic from getting worse... destigmatizing the disease to a degree and giving it a public face.

Us, we are the faulty ones, we are living an unhealthy lives, and if we would change, non of this would happen.

the government. We have a cure for it but the government doesn't want to establish the cure. Its a lady in Italy who figured a cure.

NOWADAYS it is almost our fault. We know about it, and we know how to prevent it, except in some situations (blood transfusions, birth). People were being told about it in the late 1980's, but there's concern that it was here for a couple decades before that, and nobody knew! It started, as far as we're aware, in the gay community, but at first they didn't know they had it, so it spread like wildfire, and doctors had no cure and barely a treatment. By the time it was known about, it was already rampant.
P.S. What's strange to me is how monkeys got it!

HIV began similar to the way the BIRD FLU is coming about.


It began in monkeys and crossed over into Humans ( i dont even roughly know the timeframe ).

Its nobodys fault though, its a virus. Its natures way of trying to control the population in any species. Its just a matter of how fast we can create vaccinations to to help us in fighting them.

I have heard different things. Who knows? One group says it was developed in a lab in Maryland. Another is, it came from monkeys.

Misguided activists who seek to protect the civil rights of the VIRUS instead of healthy people who would be victimized by it. They stand in the way of any efforts to monitor or notify to prevent infections. AIDS activists cannot purport to care about AIDS victims because their efforts CAUSE many more victims. They want consequence-free sexual gratification sans judgement and they have forced our government to spend more money studying a way to cure their disease so they can continue on in their promiscuous hidden ways than diseases which kill far, far, far more people (cancer and heart disease).

It's a virus...plain and simple. It's one of millions. There is no way you can blame one person.

Also, what difference would it make? What good would it do? It's senseless and I don't care. HIV/AIDS is here...a pandemic. All we can do is educate people, do whatever we can to stem the spread of it and continue working towards a cure or vaccine.

Trying to place blame is a waste of time and effort. There is no point to that. Concentrate on the disease and it's prevention...don't worry about how it came about. We are way beyond blame...or at least, we should be.

By the way, the HIGHEST incidence of HIV transmission now belongs to the heterosexual teens/early 20s group. GAYS WERE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS...NEITHER WERE DRUG ADDICTS. Just because the disease was ORIGINALLY associated with those 2 groups, it does not mean that any one group should shoulder the "blame".

If anyone is to blame, we are. By that, I mean every person on this planet.
