Could someone receive HIV/AIDS if....? |
critical thinking questions from my science textbook: aids/hiv is transmitted through the exchange of bodily fluids through the bloodstream. Nope and nope. Two reasons: 1. the virus has to be present. and 2. Because the HIV virus can't survive outside the body, it's nearly impossible to be transmitted that way. It's spread by host to host contact - like if person A has an open sore on their hands, and helps person B (who has HiV) when they cut themselves, without using gloves. You can't get it from a doorknob or toilet seat, nor can you get it from clothes. ... no, you can not get aids from wearing someones underwear if they dont have aids. aids/Hiv doesnt just develope. the only thing that you would really get from wearing someones underpants (if they werent washed first) would be crabs. or possably a yeast infection. why would you want to wear their underpants anyways? If no one has the virus then how would you get it in ther first place? It doesn't have anything to do with puberty, though wearing someone elses drawers isn't the most sanitary thing to do. No Hiv will be transmitted through it. no this is not possible gross but not possible You are right. You get HIV/AIDS from direct contact with someone who has it, you don't get infected by wearing the underpants of someone else. Puberty has absolutely NOTHING to do with anything whatsoever...exchanging bodily fluidsknown as blood or blood components; not spit, mucus, tears, sweat, vomit or urine. BUT thru the use of dirty needles or thru sexual contact or blood transfusions(hopefully this one has been handled). You could wear his underwear as a hat and nothing would be transferred except possibly some good humour. Zippy answered your question. AIDS/HIV cannot survive outside the body AND it cannot infect wherever it isn't present. First reaching puberty dose not mean anything when it comes to getting a STD. A new born child can get it....And you are correct If there is no HIV/AIDS in the first place, nothing is transmitted. HIV/AIDS can ONLY be transmitted with contact with body fluids from an infected person to you such as blood and semen. Quite simpley you can not catch it unless it enters youre body through sex or lets say you have a cut on your hand and you touch there blood. no no and you are right. |
