HIV/AIDS in India. It"s a important life saving job.?

don"t compromise on quality,

don"t reduce the eligibility criteria,

in 2004 govt upgraded the minimum qualification for counsellor at least a post graduate degree, don"t reduce eligibility criteria.

counsellor is the person who almost daily tell 5 people you are hiv + and 15 people how to remain hiv -

figures of hiv + people detected in every centre is going to rise and rise for next many years to come.

counselling in context of hiv/aids is not easy, require skills and training, this is going to be most stressful job with maximum workload, appoint post draduate guys atleast with desirable experience.

i just hope, motive behind this change is not to down grade the possible future pay-scale of the counsellors.

i think they too desrve the pay scale of social worker (6500-200-10,500)in hospital set up, if not of clinical psychologist.

take any interview, written test, conduct any performance evaluation but atleast regularise there job, some are working from more than seven years on contractual salay.

atleast don"t insult the post and the qualification required to get this job.

Derek! Maybe you should educate urself a bit more - gay people and drug addicts are not the only one that get HIV! With an additude like that - you are very eligable candidate to have HIV visit your house!
