What are the Preventions of STD?

What are the Prevention of Chlamydia, Genital Herpes, Genital Warts (HPV), Gonorrhea, Hepatitis B, HIV/AIDS, Pelvic Inflammatory Disease, Pubic Lice (Crabs), Syphilis, Vaginitis?

Use a condom. However condoms do break quite frequently and there is no morning after pill for STDs.

Also, some STDs like crabs, warts and i think herpes can be transmitted even when using a condom because the affected areas are not covered.

The safest bet (other than abstinence) would be to get checked out either at Planned Parenthood or your local health clinic. Do a full STD test on you AND your partner. But be aware that some STDs like AIDS take up to 6mos to a year to be detected. Know your partner's history and keep in touch with your ex's (even if only through gossip) to make sure that no one is infected.

Good Luck and Be Safe!

common sense....ABSTINENCE!!! If you don't fool around, you won't catch anything.

that's the trouble with today's society. they think it won't happen to them and when it does, they want pity from others. I don't feel sorry for these folks seeing as it can be prevented.

you play, you pay. that's how it works.

Condoms will prevent everything except crabs. You can catch crabs anywhere!

don't have sex

if you do, use condoms (although not 100%)

Only have sex with one person, wait till you are married.

No sex- any sex including oral & anal.

Practicing Absents

Best thing is abstinence, then if that's "not" possible, a condom.

abstinance

Abstinence. the only 100% way

DON'T HAVE SEX...

Either Don't have sex or if you must USE A CONDOM!

Condoms are your best bet. Try abstaining, thats much better

Don't have sex?

don't sleep with whores
