I was playing softball and this girl spit in my face should I have given her the one hitter quitter?

Yeah long story short it's a softball league of restaurants and bars what not in town and nothing too official people just drink and play slow pitch softball anyway this girl who spit got into with our catcher who is fine and she called her 'barbie' and '*****' anyway after we lost... gay. they were on 2nd and started cat fighting so I just was following my teammates up to the action nonchalantly and they broke it up and the trashy girl on the other team doesn't even look at my a pushes me so I just stick my leg out to try and trip her and she turns around and gets in my face, so I walk up to her and she spits HIV/AIDS infected saliva all over me, so she was standing there and I really almost hit her, but decided otherwise since it would've been no contest, did I do the right thing?
