Does someone have to be sexually active with another human being to be carrying an STD or HIV/Aids?

just wondering

No, There are other ways of contracting diseases. For instance you can get hepetitis from drinking off of another person glass. Or you can get herpes from a towel that was used by someone who has herpes. It lives off of a host for 17 hours. The best way to stay clean of most diseases is by being clean, not using anyone elses items that have there germs on them. Blood transfusions also lead to some people contracting HIV. Hepetitis, and other diseases.
go to web.md and research any questions you may have about diseases and contracting them.

No you can get them from you're parents from birth and if you share needles (drug useage mainly, doctors use new needles with each patient), but don't believe the old wives tales like you can catch them from the public toilet ect. Oh yeah but if someone has a coldsore don't kiss them as it could be mouth herpes (from parents or oral sex) because you can catch it that way.

No. HIV/AIDS can be caught from infected blood transfusions, stabbing yourself with an infected needle (if for example, you are an IV drug user). You could also be born with HIV/AIDS usually there has to be an exhange of bodily fluids / bloods to catch it....I think it's the same for other STD's.

no... u can get it from brith.. if your mom or dad has HIV... or if you use needle drugs.. theres another way... other than that... you kinda have to be sexually active... oral or full blown sex... but yea... there could be other ways but those are the only two i can think of right now.. good luck to ya

Not necessarily. HIV can be transmitted by direct contact with infected blood, and it can be transmitted from a woman to her child during birth. Oral Herpes can be transmitted by kissing.

No they do not have to be sexually active, STD's and HIV can be passed from mother to child during child birth.

So, a virgin could have HIV or AIDS from birth.

nope

You can catch it with a tainted Needle (IV)

No, it can be transmitted in infected blood transplants/

No.
