Does SANI stand for something in Filipino?

I received this transcript from a Philippine university in English that has a course title "SANI & TB Histopathology". I know TB is Tuberculosis. What about SANI?
It can't be AIDS or anything related with HIV because the transcript dates from the 70's. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

The only medical acronym I can find is "South Australian Neuroscience Institute".

But I note that in Histopathology texts TB and leprosy (Hansen's disease) occur toghether. Maybe a badly printed/typed document was scanned in and "Hansen's" was deformed to "Sani"? Happens all the time.

To make you feel better, I searched a number of big and old Tagalog and Cebuano dictionaries, but bupkes! Report Abuse
