Serious question, can i get hiv/aids? doctor can u answer too please?

ok so around july i was at mcdonalds with my ex, and we drank from the same straw(touched my retainer), also made out, etc etc. . someone told me she had herpes, aids ect. i know itsnot real, but i have ocd and i just want this cleared out of my head. i wore my retainer and recently i got my wisdom teeth removed (all 4) on friday and i put my retainer on. then i worried if she were to have those diseases, would they go in my open wound? please answer honestly.

Be smart, don't make out with someone who has an open cold sore, but you really shouldn't be too worried about oral herpes. It rarely (if ever) causes any serious complications, and unfortunately there is no cure.

Lets assume she does for right now. First the AIDS virus cannot live very long outside the human body, so with you getting your wisdom teeth removed the other day, there is/was no way.
Herpes is a different story though. If she had a cold sore when she kissed you, you very well could have it.
