I'm a bi teenager that has the opportunity to secretly experiment, how do I practice safe gay sex?

Frankly, I'm bored and there's a decent looking guy that's bored who wants to experiment with me. I like the rush of this, and I want to try it out. But how can I lower my chances of getting diseases like HIV/AIDS?

It all depends on what you're doing.

First thing is first: Know how to put a condom on correctly! Tons of people actually put condoms on wrong. First check the expiration date, then squeeze the wrapper to check for holes. There should always be a little pillow of air. Push the condom to the side and tear it with your fingers down the edge where there is no condom. Take the condom out of the wrapper and determine which way is the way that would cause it to just roll down. If you put it on wrong at first DO NOT USE IT. You'd have to get another condom. Pre-*** could be on the outside of the condom. Soo pinch the tip and just roll it down to the base with your finger tips. I suggest holding onto the base of the condom, or getting a cock ring to hold it in place...or perhaps checking every now and then to make sure you're covered.

After you've done your business and you're still erect roll the condom down to the head (should come off easily) tie a knot and throw it in the trash (not a toilet).

Also don't put condoms in places where temperature fluctuates. No pockets, no glove box.

As for fellatio wear a condom. There are some flavored lubes that taste pretty darn good.

If you're tossing salad (analingus) I suggest using a dental dam. If you don't have one you can use non-microwavable saran wrap, or take a condom and cut it down the length to make a sheet. Don't use a dental dam more than once, and remember which side is for mouth, and which side for bum. Plus it saves your mouth from tasting like crap.

Any extreme penetration (fisting, heavy fingering) I suggest wearing gloves. Latex or polyurethane gloves are perfect for the situation.

Toys: if you're using penetrative toys use condoms. Many materials are porous so they cannot be completely sterilized. Know what you're using to protect yourself and your partner.

Remember this butt mantra: "relaxation, lubrication, communication"

For lube I suggest a thick lubricant that will stick. This lube should also be water based. Oil based lubes will break apart a condom and cause it to rip.

I think that's about it.

Good for you! It's great to see someone asking about how to be safe!

Use a condom for both oral and anal. They make flavored, or unlubricated condoms for oral. And for anal, make sure to use lots of lube. It will decrease the likelihood of tears in the both the condom and whoever is being penetrated (butt tissue is softer than vagina and tears easier).
A great lubricant is H20. It's a water based lubricant that's tasteless and doesn't get sticky or make a mess. It washes off easily. And you can use it for other things too, like coating your bike chains so they don't rust in the rain.
(I hope I don't get reported...this is a little explicit, but I'm trying to give you be best answer I can.)

Use condoms that have not been sitting around in someones wallet, on a windowsill, or exposed to any heat source. If condoms are exposed to heat, they tend to tear. Also, NEVER use oil based lube, as it can weaken the latex.

Having said that, make sure you go slow if you're doing anal, as you can tear muscle quite easily (especially for the first time)

Use condoms and lube. Don't swallow. etc.

Check out the site below which has good info on sex and health issues for LGBT people. Just do a search on "safe-sex" and you'll get many important articles on the subject.
