Why does swaziland have such a high HIV/AIDS rate? (38%)? The problem in Africa is governments failing to overcome conservative attitudes regarding sex and marriage, and poverty causing prostitution. Another problem is drug companies. We need cheap, generic drugs to help treat people affordably. There are quite a few reasons, as for Africa as a whole not necessarily Swaziland on its own. Low condom use, uncircumcized men, high amount of prostitution in small areas and truck routes, other untreated diseases that facilitate transmission, lack of education and worst of all: re-using syringes in hospitals. because they have sex without protection, and they get pregnant while infected with HIV infecting their babies. some also say mosquitoes carry the virus. lack of education on the subject That's their Gross National Product. check haiti....you figure out the similarities...duh... they are too dumb to either keep it in their trousers or wear condoms |
