Can you get an STD from needles?

I know you can can get HIV/AIDS and diseases such as hepatitis from needles but is it likely that you can develop STDs like clamydia or herpes from needles or is that just throught sex. just wondering how that works.

Herpes is not transmitted through blood contact it's spread through skin contact with an open herpes sore or blister. For example having sex with some one while they are having an out break of genital herpes.
If you share needles then you could get hepatitis or hiv if the person your sharing with has them. The rest are usually transmitted through sexual activities.

herpes is not in your blood stream, it's in your nervous system, so no u can't get herpes, i'm pretty sure hiv and hepatitis, and maybe syphallis are the only stds that can be spread through blood/needles

Any disease that can be transmitted through blood, can be transmitted via a contaminated needle. Chlamydia, Herpes, Gonorrhea, etc. are not transmitted through blood but rather body fluids or skin-to-skin contact.
