Knowingly exposing someone to the HIV/AIDS virus is a C felony in Tennessee. So is rape (an A felony). Both hard to prove when they occur in marriage. You must be accepting of any and all responsibility for unprotected sex, people. The law is not your mother.

I've been told that a test is done when you apply for a marriage liscense. Also if you are concerned go in for a test now, or when ever.

I certainly would hope that a person with HIV would let their partner know of the disease long before they became their spouse.

If someone KNOWS they have HIV or AIDS and DON'T tell a person they are sexually active with, it's a crime.

You have to get tested in order to get married.
