What exactly is a carrier of aids?

my friends boyfriend just found out that he is HIV+.
but claims he is just a carrier. Can they still have sex?
and can she get infected?

If he is a carrier, he is HIV positive. Your friend should have an HIV test urgently as she may already have it. A carrier means that he can spread it to others so they should not have unprotected sex. She should speak to a doctor ASAP.
