Why are there always children on here asking about stds and hiv?

It HONESTLY disgust me to see these 14 and 16 year olds talking about possibly having a std. Obviously if your clueless about stds and aids then you shouldn't even be having sex. Then you see these places like planned parenthood which makes it so easy for these idiots to get rid of there std and even babies. Have some respect for yourselves and stop the growth of these disgusting diseases. I have an easy solution....keep your legs closed

I was reffering to children, teenagers whatever you want to call them as the idiots. There's a difference between an adult with a an std vs a child.

where are their parents...I had the talk with my daughter ...maybe too well 33, kinder garden teacher and never had kids or married lol

times are different...parents are working to make ends meet. the kids suffer for it

you're right , and then you're also wrong.

you're not thinking about the kids who are rapped who have nowhere to go , so planned parenthood could really help them.

also , there are a lot of kids who don't have the family or the correct surrounding to teach them about not having sex and the risks of having it.

SO planned parenthood gives you that option of helping yourself when you have nobody to get help from ...

we don't all come from suburban households and schools that talk about sex and stds. s h i t happens, i mean polygamy! come on... 13 year olds get married off and have baby's as soon as they get their period. GO talk to those crazy people !

"Children", teens under the age of 18 are sexually active. In many cases they do not feel that they are at risk, when they realize that something is "wrong" they come here to get answers. I applaud them for the courage to ask questions and to get answers. They don't need lectures from us about how wrong they are, what they need is the help to take care of themselves. The pressure for teens to be sexual is at a high risk. We should not sit in judgment, and there are many on here that do. This is a forum to get answers, to deal with mistakes.

Well why do you have to ask that question?. Simple, coz its your own opinionated question. If someone needs to ask something about this coz they are worried then fine. Not everyone who gets an STD was an idiot, trying to dodge getting an STD isnt easy, you could get it even if you have safe sex...especially if someone whos going to have sex hides something from the other person.

I dont have an STD or anything, so im not trying to argue that I've had sex and gotten one. Im just giving you my opinion

OH AND i forgot to mention...exactly that its 2009..its a new generation atm so its not a surprise for us teens to be having sex at a young age...

Cowboy your just an idiot too, enough with this parent crap...people get curious, if they make mistakes so be it. For crying out loud grown adults contract diseases all the time so what difference is it for teenagers eh. We know the risks, we take them, some people make it out fine..others dont

Common "J" wake up, it's 2009. I started having sex at twelve years old, these kids aren't any different only dumber. Their parents won't help them, who is suppose to ? I will answer them if it's going to help keep them safe. Figure it out.

If no ones educating them, then who will? The best way through STD prevention is education.

Thank you for answering your own question so succinctly. Indeed, your vituperative tone perfectly demonstrates why our youth are ignornant and turning to strangers for information.

Your "easy solution" is an out and out farce. The "Just Say No" philosophy is predicated on the notion that we live in a perfect world where parents lovingly raise their children to have some respect for themselves, to educate themselves about their bodies, and to act in a responsible manner in their actions.

Instead, our society denies children even basic education about their bodies, leaving them to wander into adolescence without any defenses. To expect teens not to be curious about sex is to be intellectually retarded. To expect that they will just "keep their legs closed" in the face of raging hormones, insecurity, and good old fashioined angst is just plain stupid.

Places like Planned Parenthood exist to provide teens with the information they need but do not get from their parents or the educational system (which has had its hands tied by those same foolish parents). You are simply adding to the problem by denegrating such places.

Sex, unwanted pregnancy, and sexually transmitted disease have existed as long as man as existed. You can raise children with intellegence, common sense, and information or you can stick your head in the sand and pretend teens don't have sex. If you are the latter, your kids will most likely end up asking strangers their questions in a forum like this one.

And heaven help any kid who encounters someone like you. If you had any sense, you'd be heartily ashamed of yourself.

P.S. I'm making a donation today to Planned Parenthood in your honor. Have a nice day :-)
