So is :magic johnson:immune to hiv:aids now? once you got it and then over it: you can't get it again right? There is no cure for HIV (virus that damages the immune system and can lead to AIDS) at this point. Once you have HIV, you always have it. You don't get over it. You can't get it "again", because once you have it, you have it for the rest of your life. No one is immune to HIV. Anyone can get infected if they engage in risky behaviors. I think he still carries the HIV virus, but he doesn't have AIDS. If he got really sick, then it could give him AIDS. I've heard that he doesn't have any traces of it in him anymore. I don't know how that's possible because last I checked there still wasn't a cure. Maybe there is? You just have to have a ton of money I guess. You can never 'get over' HIV or Aids...you can treat the HIV so it doesn't develop into aids but it will never go away. And no, nobody is immune to HIV or Aids...A person with HIV will always have HIV until the day they die or until a cure is found. He still carries the hiv virus, and could easily get aids if his immune system weakens |
