Why do some people believe HIV doesnt cause AIDS?

Several doctors are outspoken saying that HIV doesnt cause AIDS... but AIDS is when your body is so full of HIV the immune system shuts down isnt it? im confused.

Renowned scientist Dr Peter Duesberg (Berkley) is one of those scientists. (His book: "Inventing the AIDS Virus"). I have looked at his theories, but to me there are big holes in it, and I do believe that HIV eventually causes Immuno Failure. However, Dr Peter Duesberg is not alone in his questioning of the official story of HIV and AIDS. There are thousands of renowned scientists on the other side of the official story perpetuated by Gallo etc.

On the other hand, I do not believe the 'Green Monkey' theory, and it does not help that the so-called co-discoverer of the HIV virus - Dr Robert Gallo - reportedly worked on a biological weapons project for 10-15 years prior to discovery of HIV, which attempted to create precisely such a virus for military purposes.

Dr Luc Montagnier, the original discoverer at the time (Pasteur, Paris, France), has also recently questioned the power of HIV himself, stating that it is his belief that the majority of people who get infected with HIV beat the virus with their own immune system and clear it out in a very short time.

Contrary to the first answer, there is "no" money to be made with a cure. The "real" money is to be made in a perpetual treatment regimen that is required to last a lifetime. The longer the regimen extends life, with a dependency on a drug or set of drugs, the more profitable it is. I believe that is the main reason why (officially) no 'cure' has been found for HIV/AIDS and various cancers, despite a trillion dollars spent over the last 30 years in the 'search' for one.

HIV is certainly treatable without drugs - I know because I have friends who use non-drug treatment and testing shows improvement from test to test - and potentially even cureable (I should know within about a year whether the treatment is strong enough to defeat the virus and purge it from the body... due to treatment time and minimum 6-month lapse for re-testing), with a relatively simple but rigorous treatment regimen. Some have claimed complete cure from HIV, but I have not yet seen such results on my own. However, sevaral of my friends are taking the non-drug treatment, and the improvements are so far universal.

The men in white lab coats say no cure has been found. A few do all the research, the others just follow what the few tell them. There are amazingly few really intelligent people among their ranks, and great breakthroughs in science have always only been made by very few smart people in this world. The remainder just copy and build on their original findings.

I repeat that, whether this treatment regimen I am talking about is a cure or not, I do not know yet. But what I do know is that it is an effective treatment which can give people their lives back without ruining them financially. Good-bye trillion-dollar drug-pushers.

Each blind man grasps a different part of the elephant, trunk, tail, side etc, and proclaim that an elephant is a particular way and they don't "look" at the entire elephant. Some people will look at any issue, including AIDS, from a different angle than others who, scientifically (which essentially means 'objectively)look at all aspects and form theories that stand up to tests of the theories.

I've seen a few silly theories on the internet (where else?) attributed to some "doctor" or whatever. Sometimes the "doctor" doesn't actually seem to exist.) A few more searches will invariably show respectable sources- usually many of them - which disagree and can usually disprove the "contrary" opinion. Then, once those unprovable theories are out there, there are also people who simply distrust anything that the masses accept. frequently you'll see, for instance, drug companies being cast as villains (no I'm not a big fan of theirs!) who somehow are getting away with perpetuating, in this case, a vile and horrible (especially in under developed areas) disease...despite the fact that any company which could cure it would make billions of dollars with the cure.

So...I guess the short answer is :paranoia and ignorance!
