Is it possible to create a drug that reverses reverse transcription caused by HIV? |
while i know that hiv reverses transcription what im talking about it is mutating the hiv gene to make it reverse what it does to make the gene go back to normal I think it's a great question to ask, and it doesn't matter whether or not it would work. People are trying all over the world to figure out ways to block what HIV does within cells it infects, and the different classes of drugs that have already been developed attack different points in the replication of the virus. No. It wouldn't do anything. Reversing reverse transcription is how HIV replicates itself. No, there is no way to reverse the hiv. If that was possible then the virus would no longer be in existence. |
