Can anyone give/tell me what they think a good topic would be for a discussion? |
Identity theft I think a great topic for discussion would be child abuse. Specifically, can feeding your children unhealthy food and causing obesity be considered child abuse? My husband and I got into this discussion the other day after watching an episode of "Wife Swap." One family was so proud of their unhealthy eating habits, that they actually bragged that they wouldn't eat anything unless it was covered in bacon grease. I am pretty sure they were exaggerating about that, but the dad did claim he was happy and proud of being fat and unhealthy. Now, it is one thing for an adult to choose what to eat, but how accountable should parents be for their children's eating habits and should it be considered abuse for parents to deliberately give their children food they know to be unhealthy, and therefore set up a lifetime of bad habits and health problems. I still haven't come to any conclusions, but it sure does make for an interesting discussion! Plastic Surgery or Eating Disorders which in certain aspects can be related. If a person thinks they are too fat, they might opt to have surgery or resort to being anorexic to correct the problem. Nowadays surgery is being done on teenagers because they want to improve their looks. Eating Disorders deals with how the person perceives them-self. |
