Should all drugs become legal?

I think they should legalize all drugs. The drug war isn't working. There's a lot of good reasons to legalize drugs: Take away the profits from the drug lords, free up our prisons, cut down the risk of people getting hiv and overdosing, police would have time to deal with real crime,etc... We should try to help people that made a bad choice in their lives get off drugs instead of throwing them in prison. Plus it's a matter of personal choice. People are going to do drugs regardless, why not just except it, and stop jailing non-violent drug offenders? Plus the reason most of them became illegal in the first place has to do with racism. Watch History Channel, Illegal drugs and how they got that way.

Legalizing would do us all a favor, save money, save lives (surprisingly), and control the drugs.

Then we could use the tax dollars saved (by keeping non-violent offenders out of jail) and generated (by creating drug licensing for business and a sales tax on said drugs.)

I am starting a union of all the Movements for Legalization.

i agree. the justice system should have nothing to do with drugs. drug addiction and the the other attendant problems are social issues, not legal ones. if a person has a drug problem, they should be in a treatment center. putting young people in prison for pot is ludicrous. what kind of sick **** came up with that one?

Yes, how I see it. Let the druggies overdose and kill them selves. Good form of population control. To many people in this world. Might as well get rid of the low lives.

No.... I don't think ALL drugs should be legal. Only the ones where addicts will steal to get their fix should stay illegal though.
Pot is not one of them.

I could not agree with the first answer more.
