What prevents us from being close to jesus?

Can we talk to him if we are drunks, or drug addicts, or liars, or cheats, or prostitutes, or filthy thinking rich? If we have hiv or stds, what if we have killed someone? or drink tea or coffe, smoke fags? hey how about if we have been good all our lives, do we need jesus to get into heaven? Surely there must be some thing too bad for jesus to talk to us!

Anyone can talk to the Lord.

Mainly, pride and personal fears keep us from coming and laying down our burdens on Him.

Yes, Jesus is the way to Heaven. If you believe that He came and died for your sins, and resurrected (to be the true Messiah), then yours is the kingdom of Heaven.
