Is love worth dying for, does this love have a chance?

i a senior in college, i graduate in the spring and have for the past year worked part-time at a fast food place to make some spending $.

well while i worked there i met this puerto rician man who also works there. he is 10 years older than me, an ex-heroin addict, ex-drug dealer and on parole. he speaks english with a very heavy spanish accent which makes it hard to communicate with him sometimes, but he is beautiful.

we had sex once, about 3 months ago. the condom broke, and there is a possibility i might have contracted hiv or hepititus. for some reson i'm not upset about it. part of me wants to marry him, and take him out of the ghetto. is this crazy?

You damn right that's crazy. Why would you allow yourself to go through something like that. If he loved you back or had respect for you, he wouldn't even want to put you through something like that. He's probably with someone else too and while your laying in the hospital he's out with another woman then your gonna regret all this and it's gonna be to late. when he leaves you, your gonna find a good man and he's not gonna want you.

Please please please get tested and move far far away out of Dreamland. "he is beautiful" it's not love it's lust. move away

Remember that we should not try to completely change someone and or control them.....

Are you crazy? A total loser!!!! Are women really that hard up?

What makes you think you could have contracted HIV or hepititus? Yes, it is crazy that you want to marry him. Well, not really crazy, but it is a phase. It is the "bad boy" in him you are attracted to and you think you can show him a better life and fix him. I know, I went through many years trying to show bad boys the better life, be the one that changes their life, and they are forever grateful to and in love with. HOney, I am sorry to say, but it NEVER really works out that way. They may try to change, but they ALWAYS go back to that lifestyle. Have you ever heard the saying "You can take the boy out the hood, but you cant take the hood out the boy?" That saying is true. I would be more concerned about having contracted a disease that will eventually kill you. You need to find out for sure if you contracted it, if you did, start taking measures to keep yourself healthy and learn to live with the disease and what to expect. And for the love of God, DO NOT GET PREGNANT. That would be selfish, and if you have one of these deadly diseases, you would be writing a death sentance for your innocent child. I wish you the best, but please take my advice and leave him alone and seek help for yourself.

First of all, the chances of getting Hep C from vaginal intercourse are very, very low. Hep C is not easy to catch - it takes sharing a needle, blood transfusion, organ transplant, etc. HIV is a possibility though - IF he has it.

It may be exciting that you've got this older, bad-boy, exotic guy, but let me tell you from experience - that burden gets heavy pretty quickly. What seems fun and exciting at about 22 years old, will be making you sick at 28.

Get on with your life girl and let this one just be a memory to enjoy. What kind of relationship can you really have with someone you can't even talk to? And you are NOT going to be able to get him out of the ghetto unless you plan to pay for it all.

Hell yes! That's crazy! You're not mad!?? OMG! Love is not worth dying for!!! You should love yourself first!
