criminalizing prostitution does not stop the spread of disease. in fact, legalizing it limits the spread of disease, since prostitutes are frequently tested, and always provided with condoms, the use of which is required.

Yes it should.Instead of banishing it the government should legalise and control it.If they make prostitution illegal,there are still going to be prostitution in the streets.The underground would take this as a money making opportunity.The government will not stop people from visiting prostitutes just by outlawing it.So they might as well bring it under their control instead of letting it run wild in the streets.

i think it should be legal in that way but ........... if the current illegal type is being done and caught it should be prosecuted to the furthest extent of the law

Bottom line, you're talking about 2 people having consensual sex.
If you do it for free you're "hooking up" and it's all good, but if you pay to do it you're breaking the law.

i agree. mostly because of what u say about test and that and also because more men who abuse and rape prostitutes against their will may be prosicuted for it cos such claims will be taken more seriously if prostitution was a legal profession,so to speak.

I don't think it should be legal. It's immoral, but more importantly, prostitution keeps women from developing their true potential. With all the strides that women have made since the 1940s, women have been a force in the working world. Prostitution doesn't allow women the vertical mobility to achieve a better socio-economic status in the long run.

in this case i agree that it should be legal. but better if this world has no prostitution at all. women should respect themselves better than to choose to do a job like this. because they choose to do this, we cant blame men for degrading them. but better if this kind of business disappear from the face of the earth.
