What really are retro viral drugs for HIV?

how effective are they? how long b4 the viral antibodies finally resist its effect?

They inhibit the virus from replicating (reproducing) by stopping the virus from uncoating its RNA. They are moderately effective since the virus is always mutating. It doesn't take too long for the virus to resist the effect. That's why doctors are giving multiple drugs that target different things to try and halt the progression of HIV.

A person can have HIV and not have AIDS. It's all about money.
And they are putting a terrible burden on some, with HIV, thinking they will die from AIDS. And giving false hope to many others, with AIDS, by bleeding them with HIV treatment.
HIV is just one of the first infections that sets in when one has
AIDS. TIME magazine recently did an article about people who have had HIV for 25 years. Most people who die from AIDS, die from pnuemonia.
Alas however. How to know for sure?
Personally, I believe the theory AIDS came from a comet, when
Earth passed through it's tail. Legends used to say comets were
omens of ill. Many legends are found to have a little bit of truth.
And after a comet passed the Earth, the Black Plague hit.
I would be willing to bet. That if one knew what AIDS is. And someone swallowed it. It would pass through the body. Since
you can only get it from blood to blood contact.
But certain types of human behavoir, sexual, and "straights"
engage in "sodomy". And drug use. Get the bug back into
the blood stream.
