How likely is it that you can get HIV from nonsexual, non drug, non blood transfusion routes?

How likely is it that you can get HIV from nonsexual, non drug, non blood transfusion routes?

Occupational, which represents at most 1% of HIV infection cases. What I mean by this is clinical workers accidentally getting pricked by needles when working with HIV+ patients, or cuts during surgery on HIV+ patient, etc.

Not that common, but it happens.

um...less than 1%--only if somehow you have an open wound and someone who is HIV positive has an open wound and you touch...but that's unlikely!

About zilch.

It's not possible. AIDS is spread through bodily fluids, dirty needles. There is very little risk in obtaining tainted blood anymore (in industrial countries, anyway).

There is no other way to get it. HIV is only spread through bodily fluid contact; sex, drugs, blood transfuions etc. And the blood supply in the US is among the safest in the world. And I think one of the answeres said something about "you can't get AIDS..." A person doesn't get AIDS from someone who is positive- you get HIV. AIDS is something that happens when your CD4 counts fall below 200.
