Degrassi fans:do you think griffin is HIV positive?

that's the impression i get from the advert. paige says he endangered her life or something along that line while finding a drawer full of meds. so in this day and age she had unprotected sex and the fact that she's bisexual,increases her chances of infection. i know the show likes to push the envelope but they are turning paige's character into the new manny(show slut) and she was once a good character, i thought her shallow and dumb blonde days were over when she got this new job. also do you think sex is portrayed realistically and or responsibly on this show?

I do think Griffin is HIV positive...That's the same vibe that I get when I see the clips of the next episode. Specially when she finds the medication in his drawer...
I also agree Paige is the New Manny. Troubled and Slutty.
As for how sex is being portrayed sometimes I think the push the envelope too much. I know they are trying to put a message out there about the issues that young people face. But sometimes there's issues that are hard to talk about than others. But either way i still think it helps today's youth when they show how some issues affect them and how they deal with it.

That is what I am thinking too! I don't know what else it could be! Paige should know better than to have unprotected sex. They are turning her into the new Manny, I guess they had to give the role to someone since Manny decided to settle down with Jay of all people! It probably is realistic b/c there are still people who take dumb, unneccesary risks sexually. It seems like almost every girl on the show has had a pregnancy scare or gotten pregnant very young on Degrassi!

Thats EXACTLY what i thought when I saw it "Risk With My Life" the meds.
