Ive been sick alot late, could it be HIV?!?!?

in january i had a sinus infection, febuary i had strep, march i was throwing up, april i was pretty much ok for the most part, may i had a urinary tract infection, beginning of june i had another throat infection, and 3 days after i finished my abx i got what they thought was mono, but turned out to just be tonsilitus, what could be causing all of this? now im feeling better but my lymph nodes in my neck have been swollen for about 3 weeks and are pretty big, please help!? im scared!?

I'll assume that, since you're worried about HIV, you've had sexual intercourse.

If you are covered by insurance: go to your doctor, and tell him you want to be tested for all STDs (now being called STIs, btw.)

If you are not covered by insurance, or are worried about parents finding out or whatever: go to Planned Parenthood. They can test you for everything, and (basically) if you're poor enough, you may qualify for completely free testing.


Also, did they do a blood test for mono? Does your abdomen hurt when you push on it?

Could it be HIV? You're asking for a diagnosis and you can't get that online or by someone other than a licensed NP, MD, PA or DO.

You've had a number of issues lately, haven't you? Schedule a complete physical exam and look at your lifestyle while you're at it. Maybe you're just unhealthy and rundown.

But I wonder why you would consider HIV infection rather than something else. Is there something you're not telling?

Could be lots of things. You'd have to have exposed yourself to HIV for it to be that. But it is something weakening your immune system. Can even be the environment you are in... Did you recently move, job environment, school? Can be mold, other environmental factors, bars epstein virus, etc. Have the doctor run some blood tests.

Umm stop being paranoid, the last thing it could be is HIV. HIV is a Sexually Transmitted Disease, did you have sex? And I suggest you go talk to your doctor, because it sounds like your immune system is weak.

hmm HIV? i dont know ask yourself. did you have sex before? did you ask him/her about their past if they have it. it could be. go in for a checkup. thats not good. your really sick.

and even if you aren't feeling any symptons you should get tested atleast twice a year anyways

Well when you get sick, your immune system is low and then you can be susceptible to more things. You need to build up your immune system by taking some nutrients. There are several things you can do.

Go to a health food store and buy a "Nutritional Healing" book.
It is rather large, and a wonderful source for anything you have
and for building your immune system. It tells you nutrients you can take, some essential to your health...some important...etc.

You can also take cranberry juice to wash out the bacteria
from your system...this really works....like drink a quart a day ....I know people who do this when they get a fever, etc....

You can also take Echinaccea...start with about 800 units..then at least 400 a day....don't take for longer than six weeks at a time because your body builds up a tolerance....you need to stop for two weeks in between.

I just keep it handy and the minute I have a scratchy throat, fever, cough or whatever, I start taking it for a week or so...it really helps ward off things because it boosts your immune system to fight it off. Vitamin C also works....but you have to take it several times in a day because it washes out of your
body.

You can always get checked for HIV...by getting a blood test....and if you are worried about that, maybe you need to consider why you are worried and change things to protect your health. You make the decisions.

My guess is you are probably deprived of things to keep your immune system high....you can fix that. You need to build yourself up better. Being sick is not a good thing. It would also be a good idea to get a good checkup. Serious things need to be found early. Hope this helps.
