Should I get this checked out?

OMG this guy in my class bit me the other day and when i got home and looked at my wrist where he bit me, I saw a scarish kind of mark, it got red and puffed up i didnt put anything on it...I can't get an infection on it right..by da way he was just flirting with me..but my friends was like u should get that checked out u might get HIV..cuz da dude 's slept with every fricken woman he's seen..which i think is a lie hough lolz..anyways wat yall think, should I get it checked out?

That seems like some interesting flirting tactics. Wouldn't work on me. My question to you is you waited until you GOT HOME to check a potential site for infection??? Human bites can carry many types of infections if they break your skin. For HIV, he would have had to transfer his blood into your cut-if it was open and into your blood stream. It is difficult, if not impossible, to transmit HIV through saliva. Hepatitis would be more of a possibilityy to contract through this manner of "flirting." If if broke the skin you should get it looked at. If the skin is intact but simply bruising underneath and swelling, clean the surface with an anti-bacterial soap such as Neutrogena and apply Bacitracin and keep the area clean. As for dude, tell him to clean up his act and treat you like a lady!

yes
also it doesn't matter where his mouth has been you can always get an infection!
think of a dog bitting you. you think you can an infection right? because its a dog.
let me put it like this
dogs have cleaner mouths than humans. that should sum it up.
(please get it checked out, get it cleaned, and tell who you live with to take to to the doctors.) dont want anything bad to happen
hope you get better ^_^

if you have a question about whether or not you should...that means you should. the human mouth has TONS of bacteria and not all of it is the good kind. go to the doctor now just to be safe.

if he bit you you should defiantly get it checked out because he could be sick or have a disease you never know and if you don't you are putting yourself at risk of catching a disease.

same thing happened to me surprisingly, i didn't get it checked out and well... nothing changed. I got a red scar there for a while but it eventually scabbed over and healed.

go to walmart and get some seabreeze. its a cleanser for your face yes, but it can be used to disinfect everything. its really good. but u might want to get it checked out as well. just in case....good luck!

If its an open wound then you should get it checked out, it could be infected, there is all kinds of bacteria in the mouth.

I think that you should, but only if it (the swelling) doesnt go down by tomorrow.

if he just bit you then you shouldn't nothing you cant get infected any way but the other way.

well u cant get HIV by saliva i think.......so its probably not HIV but go to the doctor anyways.
