i think you will find South Africa is well run and there are many others.
its a bit rich when given the history of the 2 world wars and the millions of people lost in them that we only have to go back 12 years or so to when we last had a white leader trying to exterminate people coz of there race or religion.
yes Africa has problems that we don't, they have poverty that we have not had for 200 years but please don't kid your self that we are any better at running things.

I didn't know that; however I remember his predecessor, Thabo Mbeki, refused to believe that AIDs was caused by a viral infection and he was responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of his own people.

AIDS is becoming a self-selector of intelligence for the future. 500 years from now, the human race will be way more intelligent, and way less horny, thanks to AIDS killing off those who cannot plan ahead or reason out their sexual connections. And the converse will happen also. The AIDS virus will become less lethal as better treatments are invented, to lengthen lifespans, and relieve suffering.
