1) When donors contribute blood, it is now "HIV screened" before it is used in transfusion. What does this mean and why is it being done?

2) What can young people do to protect themselves from infection with HIV?

3) Biology students once used their own blood to prepare slides for examination under their microscopes. Why are commercially prepared slides now being used instead?

1. yes of course it is screened it has to be. it is done to make sure the person receiving the blood doesnt get infected

2.have safe sex and get testes reguraly

3. so harmful things do not get out
