How many of you always use protection when having sex?

When I was at school, I choose to study extra classes of PSE (Personal social education) and biologly. In those 2 subjects, they mostly focused on HIV/AIDs, as well as STIs. I studied that a lot, and wrote my essays on that subject. Studying that was a real eye opener for me, and because of that I've never had unprotected sex. I'm 17 now and at college, and most of the girls there sleep around. I'm shocked that so many of them sleep with so many guys without using condom. I over hear them all the time, disscussing whether they may or may not be pregnant. But I don't hear anything of infections or dieses. They should be grateful that a babys all they're going to catch from the man. It gets to me a little that they're been stupid and naive.

So, I supose what I wanted to ask was, have you ever had a one night stand and not used a condom? And why do you think so many girls my age are like the ones that I described at my college?

I agree that these girls are stupid. Either that or they are suicidal. With all the information these days about sexually transmitted disease, it is really nuts to ignore it and go around having sex without condoms. The only way to go without a condom is to go without sex for at least six months and then get tested. You really have to trust your partner in that case and know that he/she would not have sex with someone else.

Sex is too important to treat lightly. If it is just casual sex, it will be more difficult to develop a deep and wonderful relationship with someone where sex is an ultimate experience.

To finally answer your questions directly, no I never intentionally went without a condom, though one time it broke and that was rather frightening. And I think these girls are just foolish, trying to be popular, trying to be loved, rather than being the best they can be.

They probably do get infections-they just wont broadcast the news for obvious reasons-not using protection is crazy.

Just kidding, honestly, you don't hear about these infections and diseases for two reasons, those who have them and know about it don't tell.... and the others don't know they have them yet.

well If I were really that horny and had no condoms I'd find some way to not make a baby, since that's the last thing a guy wants.

I know what you mean. We all went to the same PSE lessons and learnt the same stuff, some of us took on the fact that getting pregnant wasn't all you'd get if you didn't use protection, while others obviously just don't care! There are too many people that jus don't care. People blame the government and what not, but we are all getting taught the same stuff...

Girls like that deserve to catch whatevers about - they obviously dont value their bodies or have any self respect ! And the guys they are with will think the ame about them ! Ugh ! yes most girls and guys dont use safe sex. the first time i had sex it was not safe sex. she got pregnant.now now i paying for it child support. I say use protection all the time now.

well me and my partner have been together for 4 years now and so we dont use anything since when we first met up i always ask the girl to have a joint check up at the clinic b4 we even start having any sex...

because girls...and boys of your age are irresponsible(the majority). i have had many one night stands and have always used protection, but i am happy to say i am in a long term loving relationship these days and i trust him and myself 101 per cent, so we don't use condoms.

I've never been stupid enough to have a one night stand, but I don't use condoms either, but thats only because I have a strong steady relationship with my fiance, and dont see the need as we are both completely loyal.

The first time we slept together we did use one, but after that we knew that this was special and was going to be going on for a ver long time.

I always used one before i was on the pill though.

I personally wouldn't worry about all the girls at your college, they are probably lying to look good infront of there mates, as long as you are sensible enough to look after yourself.

To be honest if they are stupid enough to sleep about unprotected, they deserve to get some thing horrible!
