What causes yeast infections? |
my 13 year old sister thinks she has it? shes scared to ask my mom. so she went to me about it. and i have no idea. what a bad big sis. :( can someone help me. my sister says shes never had sex. so it cant be hiv or std right? If she has never had sex, she can't have a sexually transmitted disease. She can however, have a yeast infection. Yeast infections are often caused by wiping from back to front, wearing tight clothing, running around in a wet bathing suit, or just hormone imbalances. It's no big deal. Even little girls can get them so she shouldn't feel embarrassed to talk to your mom. Or if she positively doesn't want to do that, she or yourself can go to the store and buy a treatment kit. But seeing as this is probably her first one, she should go to a doctor just to make sure there is no underlying issue causing it. The Dr. can also give her a pill that will make it go away. Why does she think she has it? |
