Good hygine starts with basic hand washing and covering your mouth when sneezing or coughing. Unfortunately small children put things in their mouth such as toys, sneeze , cough all over the place and your child plays with the same toy or sits at the same place at the table---therefore, germs. It is very hard to control when a large amount of kiddies are involved. Often day care centers will wash toys nightly and tables several times throughout the day with bleach or at least spray with lysol. The chance of hepatitis and HIV is nill. These are not airborn illnesses. HIV is through direct contact with blood or mucus to mucus contact. Once it hits the air it dies. So many people are so phobic about this. Same for hepatitis, unless those kids are sharing needles or eating poop out of the potty it is not going to happen. |
