I keep getting sick. Possible more serious illnesses, or just stress?

In June I had strep throat. In August I had an eye infection. Now, I have an ear infection. I've been to the doctor each time, and no one has suggested anything more serious. Admittedly, I have been fairly stressed out. Could it be something more serious? HIV? Cancer? I hope this doesn't sound silly.

start eating foods from diary, meat, vegetables, fruits, and grain. you will get a balanced nutrition. also, excercise for at least an hour a day, like i play basketball for a hour each day.

well u know we cannot diagnose you but it could be stress or your immune system is low talk with a Dr

I am the same way and am starting to wonder the same thing myself. I DO work in a daycare which is germ central and am under so much stress. My coworkers don't seem to get sick like I do. I always have a cold or an infection or stomach problem. Plus i am always tired. I worry about heart problems or cancer too. I am seeing my Dr soon to get a physical and talk about my problems. Seems my immune system is not good.

Only your Dr. will know for sure.

Welcome to life.
Your infections are almost certainly not HIV or Cancer related. It's normal for people to get sick, and sometimes several times in a row. You said you are under stress, that could very well be why.

Maybe you have a bacteria running around in your body creating havoc. That happened to me before. I had strep throat, another cold, and then developed an intestinal thing days later. Maybe you need to be on a different antibiotic for a longer period of time.

Well it depends on what your profession is! If you are around people a lot then you are more likely to get sick especially if you are stressed. I am a teacher and I get sick at least once every month. Usually when I am stressed I get sick easier. I think if it were something more serious then you would get sick a lot more often. I'm sure if it were worse then the doctors would be concerned. If you are that worried just ask your doctor.

You have been experiencing upper respiratory infections. It's is important you've taken all the medication the were prescribed to you. Also, returning to your doctor for a recheck to assess that the medication has worked and that infection is gone. Sometimes, certain antibiotics may cause diarrhea and if you are experience this and if it's unbearable for you, let you doctor know and he will prescribe something that may not give you as much discomfort. Your symptoms sounds like you like upper respiratory infections, not hiv or cancer. Drink/eat a warm cup of chicken noodle soup, jello, just something not to heavy until you get your strength back so gradually work your way up. Get Well Soon. therapist#one
