So after my abortion I found out..?

After I got my abortion, the clinic called me back and said that I was positive for Clamydia. I had been giving antibiotics before the procedure that cleared it for me, and my boyfriend went and got a check up and got it cured as well. But now.. I feel like there's something wrong with me, and maybe I got HIV from Clamydia or something? Can you get HIV from a past Clamydia infection or something? My boyfriend, and I are both cleared from HIV, and we are not infected at all with AIDS or HIV, but is it possible to get HIV because of that? We are not protected when we have sex or anything, I'm just not sure. As well as when happens if you have Clamydia and you never knew that you did and didn't get it treated, what are the results to that? I am just wonder.

You have to contract HIV from someone carrying HIV. It is not a disease that you get from another disease, and it is not a naturally occurring disease, like cancer. Your boyfriend would have to have HIV or AIDS (or anyone else you've had sex with or shared blood with) in order for you to contract HIV or AIDS.

Chlamydia in itself does not cause AIDS. It is simply a sexually transmitted disease that can be cured with antibiotics. If it is not treated, it can lead to infections and sterility.

sounds like you should be asking a gynecologist or doctor about this kind of issue.

No, you can't get HIV from Chlamydia. Clamydia is a whole different disease. Both come from unprotected sex and i hate to tell you this but your boyfriend is cheating on you or you're cheating on him. You don't just wake up and have clamydia one day. He got it from another girl and gave it to you or you got it from another guy and gave it to him.

You should still have another HIV test in 6 months and then 6 months after that. If you do contract HIV you won't show positive for months or even years. It's not a sudden thing. Having pleasure without a condom is just not worth risking your health for the rest of your life or your life all together.

Well yes and no. Chlamydia does raise your risk for acquiring HIV, but unless you engage in risky behavior like unprotected sex with someone who may have HIV, sharing needles, etc. the virus won't just spontaneously arise from the chlamydia infection. Any STD like syphilis, herpes, chlamydia, or gonorrhea increases your risk for HIV, but as long as your take measures to protect yourself you can prevent yourself from contracting the virus.

I think it is best to not have sex for a while and after 6 months, get tested for aids, your boyfriend might not be faithful.

you cant get aids from chlamydia. however stds make you more susceptible to getting hiv if you come in contact with it. it def sounds like you should be asking a doc though.

You should think about using protection. Then you won't have to go through another abortion or discover an STD.
Don't let boyfriend talk you out of it either. He is not the one who has to have the abortion and he certainly cannot guarantee that he won't acquire HIV or another STD.
If he won't wear the condom, send him to the shower with a bar of soap. You should think about making yourself #1 and doing things to benefit yourself as well.
