Biology questions?

Can you answer these with a good solid answer?

How is a human muscle organized? How does the structure reflect the function of a muscle?

Also, what happens to the immune system of a person with HIV, and how may that infection develop into AIDS?

HIV shuts down the immune system slowly by attacking cells that are vital to the system such as helper T-cells and macrophages. AIDS later develops when the HIV [the virus] kills off most of the T-cells, causing cellular immunity disfunction, hence causing AIDS.

What kind of muscles are you talking about? There are smooth, skeletal, and cardiac.

A human (adult, skeletal) muscle, which is attached to bones and is responsible for movement, is composed of bundles of muscle fibers. Each fiber is a single cell with multiple nuclei. In turn, each fiber is composed of a bundle of smaller myofibrils arranged longitudinally. The myofibrils are composed of repeated elements called sarcomeres. The sarcomeres are primarily composed of the two contractile proteins, actin and myosin. In contraction, the muscle develops tension as the actin and myosin interact; it shortens when the two types of protein slide past each other. The structure determines the function in that the amount of tension developed depends on the length of the sarcomere, which in turn depends on the amount of overlap (and thus interaction) of the actin and myosin.
