Lump in my groin area??

Just today I found a small painless lump in my groin area (on the right side). When I stand a certain way I can see it, otherwise it is not visible. I have had one ovarian cyst in the past that burst, other than that no history of anything. I have been reading online and have found numerous things saying hernia, infection, and *gasp* possibly HIV. Since it is the weekend, I have to wait until Monday to make an appt with my Gyno. Until then, can someone give me some words to assure me its not HIV. My husband and I are looking to start a family soon and the thought of HIV will be keeping me up for nights to come. Thank you in advance.

It could just be a swollen lympnoid, do you have some sort of infection somewhere near that area or somewhere on your body. Sometimes when you have an infected cut or graze it make you lympnoids swollen. I had the same thing before but mine was quite visible, I am pretty slim though so maybe if you aren't that's why you can only see it on your side, mine was on the front panty line on the side. It should go away when the infection does, it is not serious

It is probably a swollen lymph gland. Don't freak out. It's not that uncommon.

Um... it is not HIV. It might be just a swollen lymph node, in-grown hair, or possibly a boil. It is not serious or uncommon. But you should still go to the gyno to check it out.

I can't assure you of anything, but I had a painless lump in my lower left side/groin area - it turned out to be a hernia. I had surgery, the lump is gone, & everthing is normal. I've never heard of a lump in the groin area being a sign of HIV, but I'm not an expert either.
