I have to outline the premisies and conclusion of each argument. Also do the premises support the conflusion and is it reasonable? Explain how.. Needle exchanges prove effective as AIDS counterattack. They warrant wider use and federal backing. Nothing gets knees jerking and fingers wagging like free needle-exchange programs. And free needles hit a targeted population: 55% of used needles show traces of AIDS virus. 鈥?In San Francisco, almost half the addicts opt for clean needles. 鈥?In New Haven, new HIV infections are down 33% for addicts in exchanges. Would one argument be that they are aiding in the abuse of junkies? Why not send these people to rehab (the ones that one to go) which are probably pretty few anyway. I dont really think that free needles will increase abuse, if you are a junkie you will do whatever you can. whether new or used needles, doesn't matter. talk about the San Franciscans opting for clean needles (if you agree or disagree) and talk about the 55% of used needles show traces of AIDS. |
