No, sexually transmitted infections are the exact same thing as STD's. They just renamed it.

No, not necessarily. There are several STI's out there. Chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, HPV, genital herpes, etc.

An STI can mean many things - herpes, syphillis, etc.

HIV is an STI which means it can be transmitted via sex.

Even if you are HIV+, this does not mean that it will become AIDS and you will die. It really determines on your lifestyle, whether you are on meds, etc.

People with HIV can live many many years without it turning into fullblown AIDS.
