because they are having reckless sex, they think it's cool.

Do you ever read the stupid questions these kids ask? They are really too young for sex and love but think they know it all.

The this is.......you won't know, sometimes until later in life, when it's full blown aids. People don't get checked for the virus as much as they should.
Once you are informed....you will know what to do to prevent it or not spread
it around. I've been with the same person for 6 yrs. So, monogamy has some
advantages. It's to easy to get it if u are sleeping around....cause u can't tell
just by looking at a person...It's scarey. Just be really careful.

Two, they're not getting enough information. The schools don't teach it, parents don't talk about it.

Adolescence is a time to experiment, it is this stage where the teenagers are trying to explore their sexuality. On top of that you have a situation of peer pressure and conflicting source of information. Their peers will tell them its cool not to abstain and make it sound like if you you don't have sex then you are an "outcast", this leads them to try what their friends are doing. Worse when they are not seeing that their friends are not getting sick.

Conflicting sources of information - from peers and elders (parents/teachers etc). Usually the messages differ from these source of information.

There are a majority of teenagers who are aware of it and some who can't fo anything about it. Please do not forget that some teenagers get abused by parents, friends, loved one who have the virus and stuff.

Overall an abundance of people know about the impact of hiv, some arent aware and some get into dangerous situations that they cannot escape from.

I do not know of many adolescents who get infected with this. I am 15 and in high school. There are very few people in my school who engage in sexual activities. Those who do only do it because others are doing it. A few people in my school have said that they do things in the heat of the moment and don't even think about that. I think that it is stupid but if you check the statistics, more adults are getting infected with this than teens are. You think that the adults would not be doing anything that could make the risk high for infection but they aren't. They do things in the heat of the moment just like adolescents do. If I'm correct the highest age group for this disease is 15-24. I think that they are just trying to be young before they have to grow up and by doing wreckless things they are ruining their lives.

Because they did not care to their healths.They did not mind the dangerous threat to their healthiness in the long run.HIV/AIDs happened to someone who has often replacing his/her pair in making love and who makes a homosexual.They did not obey our God's prohibition on adultery and homosexuality.They have no faith on that warnings from our God. especially for atheists who have not good moral and an awareness of dangers for that disease.They aware but they will be late after that disease happened to them.
