That is so not a true statement, no group is safe from any STD but abstinent group.

Gay men are more susceptible because of anal sex - which can often cause bleeding. Blood is where the disease is carried. Although, it is in sexual fluids, it is not as easily transferred through them.

I've worked in a Infectious Disease clinic,HIV is more prominent in males. It is harder for woman to transfer the disease.They are still at risk if (like any one else) do not take proper precautions.

Well because of the method of intercourse, there is more likely contact with blood but now days the use of condoms have reduced the transfer of HIV. If gay people inject stuff with needles then they are also likely to get the virus.

Lesbians are most at risk for bacterial vaginosis or yeast infectons than any other STD. Weird but true.

its because people usually use condoms only for contraceptive purposes. So since male on male wouldn鈥檛 get anyone pregnant, there will be direct contact on bodily fluid and if a partner has HIV, it will pass easily. HIV is found in large quantities in semen, but also in small amounts like saliva. (it is possible to pass HIV through oral sex especially if you have open sores in your mouth. so its good to use a dental dam for protection) Another reason is anal sex is more prone to infection because the orifice is not made for intercourse and thus is more prone to injuries and this increases the risk of HIV infection. Double up the condom and lubricant to avoid tearing of it. As for lesbians, if you use trap-ons, just make sure that is well cleaned (to be free from normal infections) and also free from bodily fluids (don鈥檛 insert it into yourself after doing her, use separate ones) Oral sex can also pass on HIV, chances increase when you have open sores in your mouth.

Last but not least, to be 100% safe even in a heterorelationship, have both blood test before you go into a sexual relationship. This is a test of trust and respect. If both partners truly care for each other, they will do this for each other鈥檚 safety. Condoms and dams cannot 100% protect you. There鈥檚 still a risk of getting infected. (condom tearing, accidental fluid exposure)

Also to be even more safe, get a blood test again after a few months to make sure the results are clear. Sometimes the HIV antibodies take time to build up and there might be a chance of being HIV negative even if someone is actually positive when the antibodies are not high enough for the blood test to pick up the concentration.

HIV and other infections is liken unto a serpent lying and waiting for a victim....diseases don't discriminate against anyone at any time. when people choose to ignore the way that GOD has intended for us to live, then there will be consequences to pay.......
