With the rise of HIV infections and STDs, why do so many gay men continue to engage in barebacking? |
This is not an activity that I engage in myself, thank you very much. I am a little bit smarter than the average bear. Who knows, but I am with you, they need to protect themselves. You do? Wrap that sucker!!!!! they enjoy it The "it won't happen to me" syndrome. because hiv s beenspread by bisexual men not the true blue gay man Because their lust overrides their intellect. probably because alot of younger ppl have the mentality that they're invincible, and that because they're young, nothing bad can happen to them. same reason ppl try drugs, or smoking. it's always 'the other guy' that gets sick, not them. HIV/AIDS is not restricted to homosexuals. STD's happen in Heterosexuals with more prominence than otherwise. These "RUMP RANGERS" are sick. With the young ones, they are thinking it always happens to somebody else. I knew a doctor who got HIV from gay sex. And he is no longer with us. What was he thinking? That sense of invincibilty and danger. "It'll never happen to me." syndrome. I am a happily married heterosexual male, who has over the years come in contact with men who are CAUGHT UP in this scene . maybe they're in a monogomous relashonship Some because the risk is part of the turn on; others because of some perceived freedom. Personally, I believe playing it safe is the hottest of all. |
