How can you stop the infection if you think you were just infected with HIV.....less than a week?

How can you stop the infection if you think you were just infected with HIV.....less than a week?

First of all how do you think you got infected ? I mean the mode of transmission. If it is a needle stick injury, transmission rate is low (average 1 in 250) compared to having anal intercourse with a high risk group member (sharing needles, multiple partners, homosexual, frequent intercourse) as high as 1 in 2.
Therefore it really depends upon
1) Mode of transmission
2) Risk group of your partner and
3) whether you had a single or multiple encounter.

Go to your doc and if the risk is significant then get post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) for this. Get your partner's HIV status (ELISA screening) and get yours after 6 weeks.

um..tell your doctor..

No you cant.

Go to a doctor ASAP. Explain what you are concerned about and why. There are things that can be prescribed but do need a dr's prescription. And please please stay out of dangerous situations.

Go to your local health clinic as soon as possible and they can give you meds so you may not develop the disease.

See your doctor ASAP. There are several classes of drugs that are used to slow/arrest the replication of HIV - typically used to prolong the life of folks with HIV. However, these classes of drugs are also used to PREVENT the establishment of HIV in people who have (or may have) just been infected with HIV.

For example, when healthcare workers are stuck with a needle containing blood from an HIV positive patient, they have a small chance of contracting HIV but starting the anti-HIV medications within three hours cuts that risk by 80%. The drugs in these situations should be taken for 3 months after the exposure which can be tedious because they do come with all sorts of side effects.

So, see a doctor (the sooner the better) and confess all regarding how the exposure happened. The doctor can help sort out whether or not using these drugs is appropriate in your situation.

Good luck!

If you are infected, you are infected. You can not stop the virus but possibly slow it down with drugs, depending on your immune system. Get yourself check out by a doctor. And in the future use a condom or abstain from sex. You do not want to infect someone else or be infected if you are not already. Take care and stay safe.

ozone therapy, cure for HIV/AIDS, cancer, herpes, warts, etc. You'll probably have to go out of the country to get this therapy done, it is illegal in the united states because it poses a threat to western medicine practices, whose only real aim is to profit, not to cure or make people healthy.
