Oral sex and HIV?

How high is the risk of HIV infection to a man and a woman, if after having oral sex he finds that he has a small cut on his penis?

There is a risk for both parties. The risk is quite high if the woman had a cut in her mouth. Additionally, the risk is higher to the woman than to the man.

ok ..
lol much for u to learn here! lol
if you know your partner has an STD.. they you will difinitly get it with or without a cut.
If you partner has HIV then you should go to a doctor right away if you have a cut after being involoved in that.. Also look for more reference on typing in on the yahoo search engine .. STD's and click the one that has yahoo next to it

Well, the risk isn't quiet know, but there have been cases of such happening even though they have been few. HIV is spread by the exchange of bodily fluids, and thus theoreticlly its not only possible but probable.

Without the cut on his penis, the chances of a guy geting HIV from unprotected sex is 14%. With the cut,his chances are 50%. The chances for a guy contracting HIV from a woman, I know is 14% yet I am not sure what the chances are for the reverse situation. It is much higher. Unprotected sex with an HIV partner is like playing Russian roulett!

Oral Sex Transmission of HIV

Oral Sex: Semen or vaginal secretions carrying HIV can enter the body of the receptive partner (person putting his/her mouth on the other persons genitals) through the lining of the mouth.

Oral sex is much less risky than anal or vaginal sex. However, well-documented cases of HIV transmission through oral exposure to semen or vaginal fluids have been documented so that fellatio (mouth to penis contact) and cunnilingus (mouth to vulva contact) cannot be considered to be totally safe practices. The relative inefficiency of HIV transmission through oral sex suggests that the likelihood of HIV transmission by the oral route is many times less likely than penile-vaginal .
