Risk of infection? |
hi, i recently had a pimple broken skin and was bleeding in my elbow. the bleeding was not massive but very small in qty. an hiv person walked nearer me and hit me accidentally.his hand was bleeding and a very small dot of blood was transmitted to my shirt. i was wearing my office attire with my hand fully covered with shirt. is there any risk of hiv infection? HIV can be transferred by contact to cuts or burns. A friend of mine was in a similar situation, but the blood touched her broken skin. She was tested and found negative for HIV. It sounds like you're at a verylow risk, if any. However, if you have concerns, see your doctor, they will know better than anyone on yahoo answers. It's your life, do you want to risk it? |
