Spyhpiilis or HIV? |
Can Syphilis symptoms show six days after expsoure. I have a painless blister on the tip of my penis which has been there for four weeks. Any chance that this is related to HIV infection. I also had muscle pains for ten days following the blister. Any medical opinion with be greatly appreciated. Thank You the muscle pain started ten days after the expsure. The blister is still there four weeks after it first appeared. The primary phase usually starts with a sore at the site of infection. The sore or lesion is called a chancre (pronounced shanker). This sore usually appears as a craterlike lesion on the male or female genitals, although any part of the body is at risk. Anyone who touches an infected sore can transmit the infection. This initial lesion develops 3-4 weeks after infection and heals spontaneously after 1 week. Though the sore goes away, the disease does not. It progresses into the secondary phase. syphillis can cause muscle pain/cramping once it is in the advanced stages of the disease. if you have had a blister on your penis for 3-4 weeks and it has been left untreated then i would guess that perhaps it may be more advanced, and you need to go to a doctor asap so you can get some antibiotics to treat it. if left untreated, syphillis can work its way into the brain and cause confusion, mental status changes, and other cognitive problems. muscle cramping and pain is one of the first signs that perhaps it has gone too long and you need to go get some medicine. i would rule out HIV for now, unless you are concerned that your partner may have been positive...then i would ask your doctor for a test. but for now, work with the syphillis and see if treatment helps your pain. This could be genital herpes i think you may be experiencing signs of genital herpes. you might also feel tired and flu-like, And your lymph nodes may be swollen, if you have herpes. Go to the doctor. In the meantime keep the area dry, use baby powder and wear loose clothing. |
