Stopping HIV essay?

One possible way to combat HIV invasion of the cell is to develop a drug which could destroy the "envelope" that surrounds the HIV particle-

a. Explain the function of this envelope and how the drug would help stop HIV infection.
b. Why has this approach NOT been used on people?
c. Explain the function of reverse transcriptase and how this drug would help stop HIV infection.

I'm writting an essay and need help with these questions. I have a basic knowledge of this, but I'm stuck.

a) On the envelope HIV viruses have an gp120 proteins that recognize the host's plasma membrane.. So if we find out a drug that destroy the function of gp120 proteins, HIV viruses do not get into host cell anymore.

c) Reverse transcriptase is an enzeyme that helps the viruses to synthesize RNA from the DNA then this RNA gets in the nucleus and bind to the host DNA.. So if we discover a drug to prevent the function of this enzyme, HIV viruses can not be as harmful as before maybe it might look like an influenza viruses...
